How to Contribute

The second Parallel Heiko KSM crowdloan is now live.This guide will provide a walkthrough of how to contribute to our crowdloan.

Overview

Parallel Finance is a decentralized money market protocol that offers lending, staking, and borrowing in the Polkadot ecosystem. Similar to the relationship between Polkadot and its “canary network” Kusama, Heiko Finance is the sister network to Parallel. The Parallel Heiko crowdloan is live and users can support us with their KSM contributions.

The crowdloan contribution is hard capped at 25,000 KSM and HKO rewards will be given out to users that support us in winning a slot up to the target raised amount.

Pre-requisites

  1. Install the Polkadot.JS extension on your Chrome or Firefox browser. Refer to this guide here.

  2. If you have stake KSM, you will need to unlock the KSM. Follow the instructions here to unstake on Polkadot{.JS}. Note that this process will take ~7 days before the KSM is available and transferable for the crowdloan.

  3. KSM. You need KSM stored in a non-custodial address. There is no limit to the amount of KSM you can contribute.

Rewards

Total Rewards: 5,000,000 HKO + cKSM

Bonus: 10% HKO Bonus reward will be given to investors who participated with the same wallet address in our first crowdloan last year.

Vesting schedule: HKO rewards will be distributed upon successful launch on the new parachain slot and will vest linearly over the slot lease duration (~48 weeks).

  1. Go to: https://crowdloan-kusama.parallel.fi/#/contribute/2126

  2. Ensure you have the Polkadot.JS extension and allow access to 'app-heiko.parallel.fi'. Connect your wallet.

  1. Select ‘Deposit’ to enter in a KSM contribution amount. 'Skip' this step if you already have an amount of KSM deposited on our parachain. You can also deposit more depending on the KSM amount you'd want to contribute.

  1. Enter the amount of KSM to contribute and check the box acknowledging that you are not using a Ledger device. Note: Funds deposited through a Ledger Wallet device cannot be used for contribution nor refunded.

  1. Click the ‘Contribute’ button and authorize the transaction. You should be able to see the successful transaction status shortly after.
